Like many homes, the kitchen in this Lowry Hill Tudor was the center of activity. As well as being the kitchen, it also functioned as the back entrance, mudroom, powder room and only access to the basement stairs. Adding a small addition allowed us to remove these functions from the kitchen and transform the, now, larger kitchen space into a destination rather than a thoroughfare. The result is a warm and inviting kitchen and informal eating space for the whole family to gather. This small addition also allowed us to add a new master bath to the second level to form a complete master suite, which had been lacking in the house.
